Nicci Sims Art is an independent art business based in South Africa. This policy describes how information is used when you browse, enquire about artwork or subscribe. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Enquiries and orders

The contact form sends your name, email, message, selected options and any artwork reference to my inbox through Resend. It does not upload photographs. Photos, delivery details and payment arrangements may be exchanged later by email when needed for an order. Please share only information needed for your enquiry.

I use these details to reply, prepare quotes, fulfil agreed orders and maintain necessary business records. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Browsing and security

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Turnstile verification on the contact page. These services process technical information such as your IP address, browser and request information to deliver the site and prevent abuse. Contact attempts are limited using a short-lived counter associated with your IP address. The site's scripts do not install advertising or analytics tracking. Subscribing sends your email directly to Mailchimp, which manages the mailing list and signup process. The subscription form opens Mailchimp in another tab. By subscribing you request email updates about artwork and availability. You can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter or contact me. Your browser remembers that the newsletter popup has been shown or dismissed. The footer signup form stays available so you can retry if needed. Submitting the form does not confirm that Mailchimp accepted your subscription or that any email confirmation has been completed.

Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare, Resend, my email provider and Mailchimp process information for the services described above. Where an order requires delivery or payment, relevant details may also be shared with the selected courier or payment provider. Providers may process information outside South Africa. Applicable safeguards and provider arrangements must support lawful processing. I do not sell personal information.

Retention and protection

Enquiries and order correspondence are retained while needed to respond, fulfil the order and meet record-keeping or dispute requirements, then deleted when no longer needed. Newsletter information is retained while subscribed, with limited suppression records where needed to honour an unsubscribe. Reasonable access controls are used; do not send passwords, card details or sensitive identity documents through this form.

Your choices and rights

Providing enquiry details is voluntary, but I need a way to reply. You may request access, correction or deletion of your information, object to processing, or withdraw marketing consent by emailing me. Identity verification and lawful retention requirements may apply. You can also raise a privacy complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator.

Updates

Changes to the website or its services may require updates to this policy. The date above identifies this version.
